Native Student Journey

A culturally responsive four-year journey that empowers Native American students to strengthen their identity, discover their purpose, prepare for their future, and confidently navigate high school.

Through meaningful milestones, reflection activities, Native-focused planning resources, and educator support, students build the knowledge, skills, and confidence to prepare for college, careers, leadership, and life beyond graduation.

A Four-Year Journey Designed for Native Students

Native Student Journey is a culturally responsive four-year experience that supports Native American students as they grow academically, personally, and culturally throughout high school. Through meaningful milestones, students strengthen their identity, build confidence, deepen community connections, and prepare for college, careers, leadership, and life after graduation.

For Students

Students progress through interactive milestones that encourage reflection, exploration, and action. Along the way, they discover their strengths, develop a sense of purpose, strengthen relationships, prepare for future opportunities, and gain the confidence to make informed decisions about life after high school.

For Schools

School counselors, Indian Education staff, advisors, and administrators can monitor each student's journey, celebrate milestones achieved, identify where additional support may be needed, and use student progress to guide meaningful conversations with students and families.

Launch Timeline

Beginning with Grade 9 in August 2026

Native Student Journey is being developed as a complete four-year experience for Native American high school students.

Grade 9: Native Builders I – My Identity will be available in August 2026. Grades 10–12 will be available in August 2027, completing the full four-year Native Student Journey.

Throughout high school, students progress through meaningful milestones that help them discover who they are, where they are going, and how they can make a positive impact on their communities. Each milestone combines reflection, exploration, and action to support both personal growth and future planning.

Students develop confidence, discover their purpose, strengthen their identity, and build the mindset needed to overcome challenges and pursue their goals.

Relationships & Community

Students recognize the importance of family, Elders, mentors, school staff, and community while building a strong circle of support throughout high school.

Students explore careers, colleges, scholarships, enrichment opportunities, and future pathways while preparing for life after graduation.

Leadership & Service

Students discover how their gifts can strengthen their families, Nations, and communities while embracing leadership through service and the Seven Generations philosophy.
