Curriculum & Lesson Plans

Individual Lessons
The CollegeBound Journey™ individual lessons are designed to be used for a one-time session with a student or small group of students.
These lessons related directly to the CollegeBound Journey™ platform features and support students to learn how to use the platform more effectively.
Scavenger Hunt
This lesson will provide Native American students with an introduction to the CollegeBound Journey™ platform. Additionally, students will complete one, basic search from each of the three main search features on the platform.
Discovering Native American Specific College Majors and Programs of Study
This lesson will provide Native American students with information pertaining to cultural majors and programs of study. As a result, students will have more information on education and training options that sustain, build, and impact Native communities directly. Additionally, students will be able to begin to identify post-secondary options to pursue these areas of study.
Completing a College Search in CollegeBound Journey™
This lesson will provide Native American students on how to identify culturally supportive colleges and which factors are important to them. As a result, students will increase the number of college options to consider in their college planning.
Funding Your Education
This lesson will provide Native American students with information pertaining to the basics of financial aid and funding sources for paying for college. As a result, students will have insight to begin searching for funding streams and opportunities specifically for Native Americans to pay for college. Additionally, students will be able save opportunities for future consideration and application.
